Short Term Boarding
Many boarding schools in the UK run short courses in the summer for children aged between 8 to18, offering a combination of academic courses and, best of all, fun! Short summer courses can lead to the development of great new friendships, whilst ensuring personal development.
Summer schools run from 2-6 weeks and mean that students can learn academic study, social and sporting activities; all whilst improving their English language skills. Plenty of fun excursions are on offer, including trips to historic UK cities such as London, York, Bath and Oxford. This provides students with an excellent opportunity to socialise and broaden their horizons, as well as to increase confidence.
In the formative years of their lives, many students are still deciding which direction to take in terms of their future careers and short-term boarding is an ideal way for them to indulge their chosen interests.
Short-term boarding is also great for young people who want to experience studying and the general lifestyle in the UK, without significant commitment. If they are happy with their experiences of short-term boarding, they are more than welcome to return the following year or try full-term boarding. The summer holidays are therefore an excellent opportunity to try a new activity, whilst experiencing the diverse and fascinating British culture.
